Senior Automation Engineer (M/F) | S.M.F.

Adecco Recruitment is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer (M/F) for a textile industry located in Santa Maria da Feira.

Responsibilities:

·      Lead the design and development of manufacturing automation systems, equipment, and layouts;

·      Collaborate with teams to seamlessly integrate automation into production processes;

·      Design and implement automated solutions to enhance production efficiency;

·      Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior automation engineers;

·      Evaluate and recommend automation tools tailored to manufacturing needs;

·      Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated manufacturing processes;

·      Translate manufacturing requirements into effective automation solutions;

·      Stay updated on industry trends in manufacturing automation technologies;

·      Develop automated systems using PLCs, robotics, and relevant technologies;

·      Conduct testing to validate functionality and performance of automation systems;

·      Select and implement automation tools specific to manufacturing needs;

·      Collaborate with teams for smooth integration of automation into manufacturing;

·      Analyse results from automated processes and address identified issues;

·      Create and maintain documentation for automated manufacturing procedures;

·      Lead training sessions to share manufacturing automation knowledge;

Requirements:

·      University Degree (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation or similar);

·      Minimum 4-5 years of industrial environment experience;

·      Proficient in innovative thinking and continuous improvement methodologies;

·      Strong engineering and machinery orientation with layout and efficiency focus;

·      Leadership and communication skills.

·      Good knowledge of English.
