Junior General Ledger Accountant (M/F)

Adecco Recruitment is looking for a Junior General Ledger Accountant to join a medical technology company in Lisbon.

We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our client's team in the Shared Services Center, supporting the International Business Unit with a primary focus on the Cadanian market.

Responsibilities:

Journal Entry Processing:

-Record financial transactions accurately in the general ledger.

-Prepare and post journal entries for various business activities.

-Collaborate with departments to gather necessary information.

Account Reconciliation:

-Conduct monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.

-Resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Month-End and Year-End Closing:

-Participate in closing processes and analyze financial statements.

-Meet reporting deadlines in collaboration with the finance team.

Financial Reporting:

-Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.

-Support audits with necessary documentation.

-Contribute to meaningful financial analyses.

Collaboration and Communication:

-Work closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and finance teams.

-Engage with stakeholders on financial matters.

-Drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).

-Minimum of 2 years experience in general ledger accounting.

-Proficiency in English (additional European languages are a plus).

-Expertise in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

-Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

-Collaborative and proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

-Availability to work additional hours during month-end closing.
