Transport/ Logistics Coordinator (m/f)

Our client is a Logistics company with locations worldwide, currently looking for a Transport/ Logistics Coordinator (m/f) to join their client site (automotive industry) in Mangualde.
As a member of the team, you will manage the efficient movement of goods through our customers’ logistics networks to ensure material availability. Your primary tasks in this position will include:

Ensuring comprehensive transportation execution in day-to-day operations using our state-of-the-art transportation management system;

Realizing transportation cost optimization and cost improvement measures to meet customer expectations;

Communicating regularly with customers about transportation status and taking on first level escalations in your daily work;

Taking on responsibility for the quality and performance of work for 3 to 4 assigned team members; managing capacity and allocating tasks within the team;

Coordinate tasks/assignments between on-site and off-site team members;

Coordinate and distribute transport incidents among team members and shifts; Responsible for correct execution transport activities (order assignment and track & trace);

Being the first point of contact for team members handling complex transportation setups and process deviations as well as for team managing related processes;

Driving the performance of supply chain stakeholders (e.g., carriers, warehouses) through regular performance reviews;
Requirements:

University degree preferably in Industrial engineering, business studies or logistics;

First knowledge within the logistic industry due to relevant practical experience within logistics or supply chain management (e.g. through qualified internships during studies or apprenticeships);

Very good process understanding and analytical skills;

Very good communication skills in English and Portuguese. Spanish would be and additional point to value;

Advanced usage of the MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ideally Access).
